| "Animal" Andy Brown tended goal for the Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL between 1971 and 1974, playing a total of 62 NHL games during that time, winning 22, losing 26, and tieing 7. He also played for the AHL's Baltimore Clippers, the WHA's Indianapolis Racers, and the EHL's Johnstown Jets, where he was a named second team All Star in 1966. As a Baltimore Clipper in 1970-71, Andy led the AHL in wins (28), minutes played (2954), recorded the only shutout of the AHL playoffs that year, and was named a First Team AHL All Star. Andy was never a famous goalie by any stretch, but he is the answer to an interesting trivia question: Andy was the last NHL goaltender to play without a facemask, April 7, 1974, against the Atlanta Flames.
